"Kevin lives in Manly Vale and has been a resident of Warringah for most of his life. He is a science teacher at a local public high school and has a particular interest in student welfare and developing young people through outdoor education. He is married with three children who keep him busy in a good way. He is a keen runner and enjoys a number of other sports.
Kevin is a long-term and active member of local community groups such as All Saints' Anglican Church, Manly Vale Football Club and Manly Vale Residents' Action Group. His involvement includes event co-ordination, coaching, and making representations to government. He is active in fund-raising for charitable organisations and is currently in training for his 10th Oxfam 100km Trailwalker event. He gets a great deal of satisfaction from working with others and having the opportunity to give something back.
The open spaces, the bush, the harbour and the sea define the Northern Beaches. Warringah council plays a critical part in maintaining the right balance between the demands of urban living and the conservation of open and natural spaces. Kevin would like to be a part of the democratic process that is essential to ensuring this balance."
