Michael Regan lives in Forestville and is President of the Dee Why RSL Cricket Club. He has more than 18 years of experience working in local government, the past ten years in senior management positions. His operational roles in particular saw him plan and deliver multimillion dollar budgets and supervise more than a hundred staff. He has also worked in the private sector and understands the challenges businesses face and the impact that local government decisions can have on their operations.
Michael has a passion for transparent, representative government and would like to see Warringah Council run in an open and professional manner, particularly given its troubled history. His particular areas of interest include sports field management, integrated traffic and transport solutions, operational structures of Council and genuine support for grass roots community groups. He wants to ensure Warringah’s sporting fields are upgraded and properly maintained for the long term. He also wants to achieve an improved and integrated public transport system for the northern beaches.
Michael believes that local government provides the lifeblood of an area and that the unique community of Warringah deserves a strong, independent council. Key to his platform is that only an independent can have an effective dialogue with both a Labor State Government and our local Liberal Members of Parliament.
